Shifts in perception, aka miracles
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for shifts in perception, aka miracles.
The last week has been particularly eventful, including some objectively stressful and upsetting circumstances.
Yet I do not feel stressed, and I credit my relative serenity to some shifts in perception, aka miracles.
I think I learned to define a miracle as a shift in perception about four years ago, when I was really into A Course in Miracles and the teachings of Marianne Williamson. And while a lot has changed in the last four years, that definition has stuck with me.
“I am willing to see things differently.” That’s the phrase that can activate a miracle, and I’ve used it a lot this week, with pleasing results.
So much of our life experience is about perception. And even when something “bad” is happening, there’s no rule that I have to feel a certain way about it. For example, on Sunday morning I had every reason to feel angry and scared and sad. I even got dressed in all black.
And then I decided I was willing to see things differently. I didn’t want to feel so dark. So I changed into a light blue sweatshirt, one with writing on the front that says, WHAT IF IT ALL WORKS OUT?
Shifting my perception allows me the miracles of surrender, release, serenity, peace. And then, when I can rest at a higher frequency, taking the next right action feels easy.
Love > fear,
Christina
p.s. Next week in the U.S. is Thanksgiving, or, as I call it, the ultimate #thankyouthursday. I’d love to include a roundup of gratitude from all of you, so if you’re up for it, hit reply and tell me a few things you’re grateful for this year. I won’t use any names, so feel free to be candid! (Remember, you can be grateful for anything, even something “bad.”)
