Magic Bathroom Erasers
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for Magic Bathroom Erasers.
That is definitely not the technical term, but it is an effective search term you can use if you don’t already know what I’m talking about.
As you may have concluded from last week’s message, I have not had a lot of spare time recently, and by “a lot of” I mean “any,” and by “spare time” I mean “sanity,” although I am relieved to inform you that as a result of some valuable conversations and reflection (some stemming directly from last week’s message!), life is currently feeling much more manageable.
Still, cleaning the bathroom is not a priority.
And yet, cleaning the bathroom remains a necessity.
For a while there I was even going to hire someone else to clean my bathroom, but every time I consider getting a cleaning service I end up talking myself out of it, because my house really isn’t that big and cleaning my own home somehow seems important to me—like, and I realize this gets into a host of other issues and is possibly TMI, but I have a deep-seated belief that if I can’t clean my house myself, maybe I don’t deserve to have the house, or something like that. Plus on a logistical level, I don’t want a stranger rearranging my stuff, which means I have to clean before the cleaners come, and by that point is it really that much additional labor to wipe down the surfaces and vacuum?
I mean, yes. But for the bathroom, at least, I happened upon a true and effective time-saver, and I am grateful.
Several weeks ago while at Home Depot or Lowes or somewhere like that I saw a package of Mr. Clean Magic Erasers that promised to be especially suited for bathrooms and soap scum, and it was something like $8 for four sponges, which seemed steep to me, but also seemed like a gamble worth taking. Because we have hard water where I live and soap scum always shows up eventually and cleaning it always takes more scrubbing than I want it to.
BUT NOT ANYMORE. The approximately $2 it costs me to use one of those magical miracle soap scum erasers is money very, very well spent.
Honestly, I kinda wish this newsletter was so popular that it made sense for me to have sponsorships or affiliate links or whatever, because I have no qualms about promoting this product, but I can’t verify with certainty exactly what type of sponge I bought that day and I don’t want to link you to something I haven’t definitely specifically tried myself.*
So let’s just say: The other day I used a Magic Bathroom Eraser to easily and quickly handle an overdue chore, and it was great, and my tub is clean, I am grateful.
Love > fear,
Christina
*Okay I couldn’t resist; I did track down the exact sponges that I have. (But I still don’t have an affiliate link. Yet?)
