I’ve probably told you this before—I’ve been writing #thankyouthursday for several years now, so, surely it’s come up—but it doesn’t feel like I’ve told you lately:
Thank you!
If you weren’t reading this message, I wouldn’t bother to write it. And if I weren’t writing it, I would be repressing an important part of myself, the part that finds fulfillment in authentic expression.
Also, the part of me that really, really needs the benefits of gratitude.
Because, oh yes, I really, really need gratitude.
There’s all kinds of studies that show how important gratitude is to mental health and well being, but I don’t need to cite them because I know from experience:
Focusing on gratitude—even just once a week—makes life feel lighter. And it sure is nice when life feels lighter.
Thank you for helping me lighten up.
