The Half Of It
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for The Half Of It, which is an excellent film that has nothing to do with politics.
Although. The movie does feature characters from different backgrounds, cultures, and belief systems who learn about each other and move beyond bias, so, in that sense I kinda wish it WAS about politics.
In any case, The Half Of It is 100% worth watching (it’s streaming on Netflix), and I am grateful not only for the film but for its creator: Alice Wu went more than a decade between films because she chose to prioritize her family, yet still ultimately honored her desire to create and ended up writing something as entertaining as it is important—and now her work can positively affect millions of people. Art matters. Action matters. You—and your voice—matter. Thank you to everyone who is trying to be better and to make our world better.
Love > fear,

p.s. While I may not always love politics, I will always love and support democracy. So I appreciate a commitment to protect the results of our elections.
