Singers’ masks
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for singers’ masks.
I don’t know how I went through two years of a pandemic without discovering these things—although on second thought, yeah I do, because I was not doing any singing (in public).
But COVID cases are low enough where I live that the choir I joined in January 2020 has resumed rehearsals, and this week I wore a singer’s mask for the first time.
Oh, wow.
If you have to wear a mask while opening your mouth wide a lot and constantly breathing deep, a singer’s mask is the way to go!
Honestly I’d consider wearing a singer’s mask for any occasion where masking up is beneficial, especially on airplanes. They do look odd(er than the average mask), but my face doesn’t care.
My face is grateful to have upgraded its breathable space.
And my whole body (and mine and spirit) is grateful to sing again.
Love > fear,
