Robert Reich
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for Robert Reich.
If you already know who he is, that’s not surprising, because he’s been a big deal for a long time. And if you don’t already know who he is, that’s okay too—I didn’t until this spring, when my friend told me about his college course, “Wealth and Poverty.”
This semester is the last time he’s teaching the class, and he’s sharing it online, and I’ve become a devoted student. I’m so grateful for his lessons, his lectures, the way he helps me understand vitally important aspects of the country I love and and live in.
I can’t more strongly recommend that you join me in the virtual classroom of “Wealth and Poverty,” but even if you don’t have the capacity to audit an excellent course, there are other ways to receive the wisdom of Robert Reich.
I also subscribe to his Substack, and I’ve come to really appreciate his commentary on current events. For example, he helps me understand whether or not I really want interest rates to rise. (Personally, I don’t, but he give you the info to make up your own mind.)
Basically, Robert Reich has a gift for explaining crucial concepts in an accessible way, and I am so grateful to learn.
Love > fear,
Christina
p.s. If you decide to learn from Robert Reich, too—and I hope you do!—I would love to hear from you. If enough people are interested, maybe we could even have a group convo! Kind of a like a book club meeting, but about an amazing course on income and wealth inequality :)
