Receiving what I need
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for receiving what I need.
It’s easy for me to complain, because there is plenty to complain about. But there is also so much that’s okay, even great.
When it comes down to it, what matters is what I choose to see, and today it’s so clear that I receive everything I need.*
Yes, I am tired and stressed and uncertain about what’s next. Who isn’t?
But also, I am able to take small actions and request support and prioritize rest.
And some way or another, I always get what I need. I always want more, mind you—but showing gratitude for what I’ve already got is a great way to welcome additional goodness.
Love > fear,
Christina
*One reason it’s so clear I receive everything I need is that I’ve been listening to a new playlist designed by music education researchers as part of a study they’re running, and the first track is called “Life’s a Happy Song,” and the chorus has been stuck in my head. It goes: “I’ve got everything that I need / right in front of me.” Try listening to that and not agreeing!
