One-minute manicures
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for one-minute manicures.
I mean, technically, they take a little longer than one minute, but not much.
The thing is, I feel good about myself when I have freshly polished fingernails, but I don’t like spending a lot of time on activities like polishing my nails.
So I’m grateful for decent nail polish that legit dries in a minute or so. I used to obsess over Essie’s gel couture polishes, but then I had a baby and (a) lost the time required to let gel polish dry and also (b) gained a fear of having polished nails, because my baby put everything in his mouth, especially my fingers.
Well, my baby is now halfway to three years old, so I’m fine with painting my nails—but I still don’t really want to make the time.
Wouldn’t you know, while I was pregnant, Essie launched a new line of quick-dry polishes, and I am grateful to have discovered them.
I don’t have a ton of experience with quick-dry polishes in general so I can’t say whether Expressie (cute right?) is better than other brands, but, since in my mind it is the cousin of the gel couture I love, it makes me feel fancy when I use it.
And I’m all for easy ways of feeling fancy. And grateful.
Love > fear,
Christina
