This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for me.
A part of me was like, self-appreciation is obviously important, but if you make yourself the subject of #thankyouthursday it will seem egotistical and selfish.
Another part of me was like, self-appreciation is obviously important, but you know that you value yourself whether or not you write about it publicly.
And another part of me was like, self-appreciation is obviously important, and your birthday falls on #thankyouthursday this year, so making yourself the subject is beyond appropriate.
I am grateful for all of me. There are conflicting parts and collaborating parts and cooperating parts and parts yet unknown, and I am grateful for them all.
Today is my birthday, and I am (still!) on vacation, which makes it extra easy to feel gratitude for the wonderful life I am blessed to live. I’m so glad I was born. Of course there is hard and uncomfortable stuff aplenty, but right now I choose to focus on the all the goodness, and that feels good.
So here’s to me! I hope you can appreciate my self-celebration, and I hope you will celebrate you, too.
Love > fear,
Christina
Happy Birthday!!!
