Luxury diapers
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for luxury diapers.
With my son, I used the cheapest diapers available. Not because they were cheap—although I did love the price very much—but because they were the top recommendation from the Wirecutter.
But they didn’t work the same with my daughter. So, for a variety of reasons, I decided to spend 3x as much on luxury diapers. (Also a Wirecutter recommendation. 😂)
She just sized up into a new style, and— I mean, I really never expected that I could feel so sincerely grateful for disposable underwear. But here we are.
These luxury diapers are truly amazing. I don’t have to unpeel and wrestle with the little side tape-y things! I realize this is a small thing, but, also, if you are like me and tend to fret every time about whether you have the diaper on tight enough or too tight or is that flap sticking out? So then I’m taping and retaping, and of course a baby who is rolling around and trying to crawl is not going to stay still while I tape her diaper together.
In fairness, she also does not stay still while I thread her adorably chunky thighs through the leg holes of the luxury diapers. But the margin of application error is reduced to 0% on my end, and that is a definite win.
There is an absurd amount of responsibility on my plate right now. I am truly doing the best I can to get through the hours of each day. So, yeah. I am grateful for diapers being easier along the way.
Love > fear,
