Lucky Charms
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for Lucky Charms.
Yes, I’m talking about the cereal. It’s basically Cheerios with marshmallows, and I love it.
Growing up, “sugar cereals” were a rare treat. In theory they still should be, but sometime during pregnancy, Lucky Charms re-entered my breakfast—and sometimes dinner—scene, and I am not sorry.
Of all the ways to handle all the stress, a comforting bowl of Lucky Charms is acceptable redress.
There are better sources of nourishment, sure. But not only are Lucky Charms really not that bad (I compared the nutrition label to other cereals and was pleasantly surprised), they do my mental health a lot of good.
So this #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for the simple and effective pleasure of my magically delicious* Lucky Charms.
Love > fear,
Christina
*Of COURSE I know the catchphrase for Lucky Charms. I consumed a lot of cereal commercials as a kid, and they worked. (For example, I remember being legit excited by the introduction of the star-balloon marshmallow.)
