Insight Timer
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for Insight Timer, a free meditation app that is helping me.
I feel like it’s becoming a theme, me telling you I don’t have time to tell you about what I want to tell you, but, hey—all the more reason for you to explore for yourself.
Suffice to say, I started using the app a couple years ago merely to time myself during my own meditations. I liked that I could customize the bell and gong sounds and intervals. It didn’t much matter to me that there were also guided meditations on offer, as well as a community.
Today, the guided meditations and the community definitely matter to me.
One of my accountabilibuddies recently motivated me to become a paid member of Insight Timer so that we could take courses together, and I’ve really appreciated the routine and structure of daily meditation amid such a time of general uncertainty.
Then last night, instead of defaulting to Instagram and scrolling my way through my son’s bedtime feeding, I turned to Insight Timer instead, where I happened upon a live class hosted by teacher Justin Michael Williams.
The topic was trust, and it was exactly the experience I needed—and way more fulfilling than scrolling social media. Insight Timer allows me to connect with others while also going within, and for that, I am grateful.
Love > fear,
Christina
p.s. FYI, if I were a paid ambassador for Insight Timer this is exactly the kind of post I would write. But I’m not. I just like it. Maybe you will, too.
