Impromptu floor naps
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for impromptu floor naps.
Yesterday I was deeply tired, plus my allergies were bad, the net effect being that my eyes were itchy and hard to keep open.
So I closed them.
Even though I needed to be working—maybe especially because I needed to be working. And even though my window for child care was limited—maybe especially because my window for child care was limited.
I just lay right down on my office floor* and took a nap.
I didn’t even set a timer to wake me up.
It was great. A sort of necessary bliss.
Around 20 minutes later, I woke up. I worked much more efficiently than if I hadn’t rested. All was well. I am grateful.
Love > fear,
Christina
*I actually have a couch in my office, but the floor felt more appealing. Probably from so many savasanas over the years!
