Following energy
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for following energy.
“Following energy” is a specific phrase I associate with a specific person, but it’s also a way of living, a practice that evolves and grows.
Turns out, I’ve been following energy for years—and probably you have too, at least some of the time. The key is choosing to follow consciously.
The last couple weeks (years?!) have been energetically intense. And I am so grateful I know how to go inward, to listen for what I need/what’s next, and to take actions only when I feel grounded in my body.
It can be tempting to “get ahead” of the energy—to let my thoughts and worries propel me forward too quickly into actions that may not be in the highest good of all involved.
It can be tempting to grasp for a sense of certainty, however fleeting or even false.
But what is always true is energy. And if I am still, and I allow it to move, I can follow energy where it leads. And it always leads somewhere beyond what my brain can devise.
I don’t need to have all the answers. What a relief.
Love > fear,
Christina
p.s. I realize sometimes my #thankyouthursday posts wax poetic and abstract. I’m not really sorry about that, but I still want you to know that I’m wishing you a Merry Christmas, which is to say, Holiday Greetings of Good Intent, and I hope you get what you are needing over the next stretch of days when we collectively agree it’s okay to rest and spend time with loved ones. I’m about to drive with my family in the rain to the beach, because even when it’s cold and gray, the ocean always makes my day.
p.p.s. If you want to learn more about following energy, the book Turning Dead End Into Doorways is a great and interactive explanation.
