Baby A
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for Baby A. She came quickly this week, so it’s a good thing I was mostly ready!
I am so grateful she’s here.
Part of me wants to model this message on the one I shared when Baby B was born, but it’s already so clear there is no such thing as emulation or repetition when it comes to pregnancy, childbirth, and newborns.
Baby A is already so different, and our family is so different than it was in May 2020. My circumstances are so different. I am so different.
But the feeling of overwhelming gratitude, of awe and wonder and appreciation, is thankfully the same. There is definitely a parallel sense of peace.
We are all definitely being cared for, and I am definitely grateful.
Love > fear,
Christina
p.s. Something else that’s still the same: When B was born, I asked #thankyouthursday readers to support @NoLefTurns and their commitment to reducing recidivism in my community. I continue to financially contribute to this woman-led, local organization, and, if you’re inclined to honor the arrival of A, I welcome you to make a donation to Nolef Turns, Inc.
