Anti-Racism Daily
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for Anti-Racism Daily.
Selfishly, I love it for me, because it is too easy to get caught up in my own stuff, and by receiving a daily dose of journalism + action steps, I am able to stay continuously engaged with important topics.
More broadly, I love what Nicole Cardoza (ADR’s editor-in-chief) is doing for schools and especially for workplaces—because the same daily newsletter that is available to individuals for free (or even better, by donation) is also available for groups.
Only, the group version includes weekly discussion guides and—my favorite part—anonymized engagement reports. So, like, if a workplace were so inclined, they could actually quantify their D&I efforts.
I’ve spent a lot of my professional life in an office at a 9–5, and it would have been phenomenal if my colleagues and I had been encouraged to consume and discuss something like Anti-Racism Daily. It thrills me to envision what teams and classrooms could become if groups choose to subscribe.
But all I can control today is my own choice, and today I am grateful that I can choose to read ARD. I hope you’ll consider reading it, too.
Love > fear,
p.s. You can also follow Anti-Racism Daily on Instagram...it’s like a preview/reminder of the newsletter.
