A relatable quote about patience
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for a relatable quote about patience.
I recently finished reading/enjoying Early Morning Riser by Katherine Heiny, and among the several passages I highlighted was this gem:
She reached for patience the way she might reach an arm behind the sofa to retrieve a dropped television remote. She groped for a moment, felt patience fumble from her fingertips, and then got a grip on it and pulled it out.
Isn’t that just exactly how it feels sometimes, to grasp for patience and nearly fail to find it?
That feeling has been so familiar lately.
(As if to further illustrate the point, I just accidentally erased the first part of this message and had to rewrite it.)
But, somehow, I do always manage to grab the remote.* And for that I am truly grateful.
