1-833-LUV-NAPS
This #thankyouthursday, I am grateful for 1-833-LUV-NAPS.
That’s a real number you can really call—it’s part of The Nap Ministry’s mission, and if you dial it, you will hear a rest-related message.
I am an ardent supporter of Tricia Hersey and pretty much everything I have seen her say and do in relation to The Nap Ministry, but her new hotline—1-833-LUV-NAPS—especially helped me this week, and I am especially grateful.
On Tuesday night I was supposed to be part of a group call that I’d been looking forward to; I’d cleared my schedule and gotten coverage for baby duty.
But the call didn’t happen. There were technical difficulties, and I was disappointed, alone in my living room, regretting that I wouldn’t get the support and connection I’d been hoping for.
So naturally I turned to social media (ha!), where I came across an Instagram post promoting 1-833-LUV-NAPS. And I called the number.
It was such a nice analog experience, dialing a phone number and listening to a recording. Sort of like calling 444-FILM back in the day. (Except the message Tricia Hersey recorded was way, way better than hearing “HellOOOO, and WELcome to MOVIEPHONE!”)
Thanks to the creativity and outreach of the Nap Bishop, I ended up getting the support and connection I’d been hoping for after all.
I encourage you to receive some, too.
Love > fear,
Christina
